Eleven Recruitment is proud to be a UKLA member and we are always keen to share relevant professional development opportunities that we think are of real benefit to our network in the lubricants and speciality chemicals industry.
The latest management masterclass from UKLA focuses on developing interpersonal skills to improve performance.
UKLA Director General David Wright tells us more about the course and its aims:
In today’s workplace the need to be the best manager can be a challenge, you want to do the right thing and yet sometimes you’re not sure how to approach certain situations.
Having difficult conversations, perhaps showing how you are a leader to your team, having an effective appraisal or even following a formal process can all be very daunting.
We do know that employees can be demanding and have naturally high expectations of their leaders, and therefore managers in 2019 must be equipped with key skills from the real world.
To help tackle this challenge, UKLA are offering an exciting opportunity for managers across the business to attend a Management and Leadership Essentials Course as part of their Professional Development. The course will cover the fundamental skills needed in today's workplace and will cover the role of the manager, leadership and influencing skills, motivational behaviour, and managing performance.
Coming away from the course, each attendee will have the confidence and skills to be right up to date and on top form to get the best from their team. Any manager can attend, regardless of experience, as the course will refresh and update those who have been in the role for a while or those who are new to a management position.
