Our client is an independent award winning blender of lubricants established for over 100 years. They successfully supply a wide range of industries including plant and construction equipment, commercial vehicles, general industry, agriculture and the automotive sector. Having built a strong reputation in this niche sector our client is looking to appoint an Account Manager to develop further their established Southern presence covering the following postcodes within the South from RG/GU/RH/SL/OK/HP. This is a rewarding role to join a company at the right time with a strong strategic sales vision in place and an effective senior support team. The role would suit an individual who is self motivated and doesn’t require micro management.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Representing a strong lubricants brand both relating to products and services
  • To maintain the position and reputation of the Company within the lubricants industry through effective and innovative sales activities
  • Maintain and further increase sales for a designated geographical territory
  • Actively seek the generation of new business by proactively targeting new customers
  • Develop relationships with existing customers by providing the highest standard of customer service
  • Promote and sell the product range and services throughout the designated territory
  • Periodically visit customers within a given territory to actively service their accounts, promote existing products and provide solutions for the customers specific requirements
  • Prepare quotations and presentations where necessary
  • Provide technical support to customers as appropriate
  • Promoting brand loyalty  
  • Liaise with the Marketing department in relation to any merchandising, promotional literature or sample material required
  • Open and maintain customer accounts, liaising with the Credit Control department accordingly
  • Working closely with the internal sales team to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Utilise the company CRM system to provide detailed customer interaction and visibility
  • Provide monthly Sales Reports as directed and report back to the Group Sales Manager accordingly
  • Supporting the expansion of the company brand at exhibitions and trade events

 

KEY SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES:

  • Clear track record of B2B and B2C sales and account management
  • Experience o f selling a range of niche performance lubricants products across a range of market sector
  • Knowledge of the Agriculture market and or Automotive market advantageous
  • Exceptional relationship building skills at all levels
  • Strong demonstrable value and cost benefit selling skills
  • Highly effective time management, administrative and organisation skills
  • Motivated and driven personality, comfortable working remotely and autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Results orientated with a proactive not reactive sale approach

 

REMUNERATION
Strong basic plus a realistic commission scheme, car, fuel card, training support and company benefits
