An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accountant/Controlling & Performance Accountant. The purpose of this role is to conduct complex financial analysis and to support the financial controlling department with economic and financial analysis neccessary for the operational and strategic management of the company. Performs consistent, timely and accurate financial planning, forecasting, performance management and reporting activities in order to support decision making and steering by management.

Key responsibilities:
Prepares financial analysis, reports, and budget forecasts for the Italia entity. Delivers and constantly improves efficient, reliable and timely core controlling activties, including financial reporting, budgeting and financial planning (MTP)
Assists in the Italia company's monthly and yearly closing
Contributes to the design and management of the budget process (MTP) for both entities

Performance Management:
Designs, implements and produces effective performance management reports for both entities. For London this includes both regular and ad-hoc performance reporting with in-depth analysis across multiple dimensions (price, freight, demurrage etc) Automation of existing reports
Reporting and analysis for Italia covering both CCS and Transfer Pricing requirements, including inventory losses, foreign exchange, fees etc
Forecasting of cashflows for both entities
Prevents inaccuracies in financial statements by setting up internal control systems and adopting proper policies for financial reporting for both entities
Reviews financial data periodically to ensure fairness and completeness of the data for both entities
Assists in special projects whenever requested. Participates in the optimization and harmonization of controlling relevant IT systems
Ensures compliance with issued controlling guidelines and standards

Co-operate with managers and team leaders in the promotion of HSSE good practice by adopting appropriate behaviours
Adhere to HSSE instructions and procedures
Reporting practices, behaviours and equipment and HSSE concerns and incidents
Actively support a HSSE culture, offering improvement suggestions and participating in review of work practices and procedure

Minimum Requirements:
Masters degree
Accounting qualification
University degree in Finance

Relevant Professional Experience:
Must include 2 years of experience either working in, or auditing of, an oil trading business
More than 2 years after Master or 5 years after Bachelow including Accounting qualification
Will have solid understanding of all the core elements within own discipline, good knowdlege of the interdependencies and can manage interfaces with other disciplines

Ability to work both autonomously and as a team player working in a global environment
Excellent interpersonal capable of adopting a variety of styles to interact with clients on the trading floor, senior management and colleagues to achieve the desired result
Strong problem solving skills with the creativity to propose different options and build consensus
Able to demonstrate intergrity, courage and sound ethical judegment
Ability to deliver on tight deadlines
Excellent oral and written communication skills
