Are you an ambitious and self-motivated sales professional with experience working in the automotive, agricultural and / or logistics sectors?

We're looking for a dynamic Area Sales Manager with a proven track record in selling into the automotive, agricultural and transport sectors. This candidate will join a long established and highly successful distributor of premium brand speciality chemicals as their North East & Lincolnshire Sales Manager. This is a home based opportunity which requires extensive UK travel.

Reporting to the Field Sales Manager, your primary focus will be managing and further developing existing accounts in your region, so a focus on account management is key. You will also be required to identify new business opportunities within the focus sectors. You will be someone who demonstrates a passion for sales, account management, and relationship building with a proven track record of achieving incremental and new business sales growth.

This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy and can demonstrate first class sales and business development techniques to play a key role in a highly reputable organisation which consistently experiences year on year growth.

You will

  • Manage existing accounts whilst maximising cross selling opportunities

  • Identify and develop opportunities for new business with both existing and potential customers and markets using value selling principles and a consultative approach

  • Understand the premium brand value and product advantages to maximise sales

  • Continue market observation and evaluation to stay current on industry needs, requirements, and trends

  • Develop a good understanding of the relevant captive markets and opportunities for your value proposition

  • Actively promote and maximise brand awareness

  • Undertake regular account reviews of existing customers and employ proactive methods to increase volume, and in the case of falling sales, identify the cause and solutions.

You will need:

  • Experience in B2B technical/solution sales, account management, or business development

  • Strong demonstrable value added and solutions sales skills

  • Sales experience in and an understanding of automotive, agricultural and logistics / transportation sectors

  • To have a motivated and driven personality (a proactive self starter), with appreciation of working with a premium brand

  • To be a solutions finder, with entrepreneurial flair who is willing to take the initiative

  • Excellent relationship building skills

  • To be a confident communicator and presenter at all levels who interacts well with colleagues and customers

  • To be highly effective at time management and have administrative and organisational skills to work autonomously

  • To be enthusiastic and be able to embrace opportunities with positive “can-do” attitude

  • To have a flexible approach to work and business travel.
