Eleven has been retained by a chemical company to find a Commercial Manager with a specialism within the elastomers industries.

The main elements of the role are to develop the company’s reach and offering within the elastomer/rubber industries. You will do this by working closely with the technical team to feed into their R+D and product development, and creating and implementing a business development strategy for this area.

We are looking for someone with a technical background in terms of qualification and experience, as well as an in depth knowledge of the elastomers industries, so that you are able to understand the nuances of the products, as well as their applications in the wider market.

The company has a large site in Manchester, but the role is a global position, in terms of client base and travel expectations, so we are open to where someone is based, as long as you are willing and able to travel within the position.

Having worked an International Sales / Business Development / Commercial Manager position, with proven and demonstrable record of success is essential to be considered for the position.

The role:

  • Base salary offered is based on experience within relevant industry/position

  • Excellent bonus/commission scheme based on your billings and profit generated from your sales, as well as a substantial Share Incentive Scheme based on performance and targets

  • All travel is full expensed and you get a company mobile and laptop.

Qualifications, skills and attributes

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in technical discipline i.e Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/related

  • Technical knowledge of elastomer/rubber industries

  • Proven track record of sales ability, and commercial acumen

  • Skilled in driving new business as well as account management

  • Highly organised with the ability to work independently

  • Driven and target oriented

  • Strong relationship building and communication skills

  • Other language skills desirable, not essential
