Reporting directly to the Business Unit Director, the Fuels Operations Manager is a senior leadership team role overseeing the provision of fuel deliveries to a diverse client base from supply and operating locations across Southern England.
Effective people management forms a critical aspect of the role with responsibility for a large proportion of the company's employees. This includes recruitment, on-boarding, incident investigation, disciplinary and all other aspects of HR within the Operations environment.

Responsible for the management of 60+ operations team members, drivers / contractors and the safe, compliant and effective operation of fleet of ADR regulated HGV's and operating locations.
A senior O License holder, the Operations Manager holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring compliance and safety within all operational areas and is the business lead in the event of incidents and accidents.
The adoption of clear OEE metrics and published objectives to challenge financial spend and increase asset utilisation to optimise the logistics operation. Detailed cost analysis utilisation of live performance data will focus the teams' activities, consciously considering the daily impact on core operating metrics and business costs.
Budgetary control is a key aspect to the Operations Manager role ensuring that the unitary cost to deliver is maintained at an optimum level.

A progressive and proven operations professional preferably with ADR and bulk fuels experience
Must be commercially and financially aware with a strong understanding of P&L and strong analytical skills supported by previous experience
Experience with personal development / coaching to develop employee management and engagement
Experience with ISO Quality Management Systems and processes / qualifications would be an advantage
