Job Title: LNG Structured Trader
Location: London
Salary: Negotiable

Role objectives
A Global Trading organisation and part of the Worlds largest energy companies is looking for a LNG Structured Trader to originate structure, negotiate and close global LNG transactions which cover a tenor outside of the rolling 12 month LNG Trading horizon.

Duties & Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and implementation of the Global LNG Structured Trading Strategy;
Grow and optimise Client's LNG portfolio within such regions;
Close LNG transactions with counterparts, ensuring full alignment with the Global LNG Structured Trading Strategy and compliance with internal policies and procedures;
Establish new and maintain existing relationships with LNG suppliers and customers
Lead deal negotiations while working closely with Legal Department and Support Teams to ensure robust contract terms and conditions
Accurately evaluate and assess the deal economics, risks and exposures in accordance with client's economic evaluation methodology
Develop deal documentation and present deals to senior management
Ensure compliance with risk management governance policies and procedures
Develop leads and gather market intelligence

Skills & Competencies
Excellent understanding of the natural gas and LNG industry and markets
Expert understanding of LNG commercial contracts
Excellent financial, analytical and economic modelling skills
Excellent negotiator, able to adapt negotiating styles to achieve commercial aims
Established track record of closing bespoke SPAs and MSPA/CNs
Strong business acumen coupled with energy and the ability thrive in a dynamic and changing environment
Ability to establish and maintain strong professional relationships
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
Fluent in English. Additional language skills would be an advantage
Pro-active in achieving results
Strong team player who is able to work well within a flexible team environment
Able to adapt focus in line with changing business priorities
Tenacious and results orientated, takes initiative and drives for closure
Excellent interpersonal skills, confident and articulate
Ability to meet tight deadlines and make decisions in a pressurised environment

Demonstrable commercial experience in the LNG industry
Track record of success in the origination, negotiation and execution of bespoke SPAs and/or MSPA/CNs with minimal supervision
Demonstrable experience of accurately evaluating the economic value of LNG transactions
Proven strong network of counterparties and other relevant relationships built up
A background in the energy industry
