Commercial / Marketing Manager - Fuels

Our client, a leading global developer and manufacturer of chemical additive packages, is looking for a Commercial/Business Manager who will take responsibility for their defined product area.  The ideal candidate will be commercially astute with a good understanding of the fuel sector.  You will have full responsibility for the P&L of the fuel business unit and have a good understanding of the principles of marketing as you will be implementing and managing the marketing strategy.  Strong presentation, excellent communication and project management skills are essential to ensure business targets are achieved.  You will be working in a motivated and positive environment with the opportunity to become involved and offers good career development opportunities.


  • Lead and support the implementation of the global marketing strategy for the region, represent and influence your product lines at a global level
  • Monitor and analyse relevant market, industry and competitor data, present finding and recommendations to senior management for future product development and marketing programs
  • Liaise and work in conjunction with R&D team to develop and present new product and market opportunities, ensuring customer requirements are achieved
  • Develop product line analysis and make recommendations for any modifications, consulting with R&D re product development to ensure effective implementation of marketing strategies
  • Consult with sales/business, customers and OEM's to determine market/customer needs and expectations
  • Maintain high levels of communication with team and cross-functional teams to ensure that marketing direction is understood and targets achieved
  • Monitor and manage pricing activity alongside the pricing team
  • Work closely with internal teams to develop communication, promotional and sales support material

  • Degree educated in Business, Science or Marketing
  • Additional Marketing qualification eg CIM (preferable)
