We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager to commercially lead and drive business for this leading European developer and manufacturer of lubrication products based in the Midlands.

Reporting directly to the General Manager for the UK & Europe you will have a proven track record of developing and implementing sales and marketing strategy. As part of a global business your responsibilities will be to define and manage the sales and marketing strategy for the UK, in addition to managing and developing the UK sales function. Previous team management experience and industry knowledge are essential. Typically you will liaise on a daily basis with UK management and operational teams, international group sales and commercial teams, customers, and suppliers.

Knowledge/ experience from the lubricants, wax, pharmaceutical or cosmetic raw materials industry is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement and implement continuous improvement strategies across the sales and marketing business function
  • Manage the implementation of the strategy ensuring budgetary commitments are met
  • Implement pricing strategies in line ensuring opportunities to maximise profitability
  • Prospect new business opportunities, identifying major new business opportunities
  • Demonstrate and grow strong relationships with key decision makers
  • Tactical marketing awareness as part of competitor analysis
  • Cross stakeholder communication strategy to ensure efficient customer satisfaction
  • Review technical specifications supporting the development of new products to market
  • Demonstrate collaborative working partnership with head office and affiliates

 

KEY SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES:

  • Business related degree highly desirable
  • An understanding of white oil, lubricants or wax products and their applications
  • Distributor and/or manufacturing experience
  • Extensive experience of B2B sales and account management
  • Proven experience of leading and developing a sales and marketing team
  • Previous experience as part of a leadership/senior management team
  • Tactical marketing awareness as part of competitor analysis
  • Able to build and develop good internal cross-functional and cross cultural relationships
  • Strategic mind set across key business functions
  • Budgetary and commercial acumen
  • Able to operate effectively within a group matrix structure
