We are looking for a Sales Specialist to join our client’s Hamburg based office. The role includes maintaining or assisting in maintaining existing sales for assigned account assignments and assisting in the development of new sales by establishing and coordinating sales leads as directed within the required SBUs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and preparation for customer sales calls.   Complete accurate sales call reports to help keep all stakeholders informed of the status of key accounts
  • Assist with preparation of a strategic sales plan that communicates to the organisation key personnel, sales goals, and account segmentation
  • Stay abreast of industry insights and technology changes by attending approved industry meetings, participating in internal webinars and training courses, and making consistent interactions with CTS, marketing and the OEM groups.
  • Prepare administrative reports and submit sales forecasts/draft AOP/expense budgets, price approvals, no-waiver specs, etc. to Sales Director/Sale Management as directed
  • Stay abreast of industry insights and technology changes by attending approved industry meetings, participating in internal webinars and training courses, and making consistent interactions with CTS, marketing and the OEM groups.

Skills and competencies

  • Must be fluent in English and German
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as well as presentation skills
  • Able to organize and format technical information to accommodate customer needs
  • Computer literate with regard to our client’s applications
  • Able to work with minimal direct supervision
  • Able to travel as required

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years industry experience, managing a portfolio of clients who operate within the lubricants and fuel additive markets
  • An advanced relevant degree
  • Experience in the petrochemical, additive or petroleum industry
  • Sales experience required
