We're looking for a Senior Structured Power Trader, based in Düsseldorf, Germany. Could you fit the role?
You must have:
relevant experience in the commodity markets in a commercial role
significant experience in trading/structuring/risk of contractual assets
a good understanding of the key elements of the value chain and key drivers setting commodity prices, spreads and non-linear product pricing
an advanced ability to model complex financial structures, including options
the ability to explain/communicate impact on deal value of price changes (level, spreads and dynamics) as well as valuation assumptions and hedging strategies
a high attention to detail to ensure robust and reliable analysis
educated to university degree level
able to develop and maintain collaborative relationships within the global structuring team as well as across the business
The role will allow you to:
trade and onboard structured products such as tolling agreements, PPAs (wind/solar/thermal), options and VPPs
optimize and own structured positions through to delivery
act as a pricing competence function for complex products across power areas
price and manage shape and fluctuating volume risks associated with PPAs and structured agreements
define and trade suitable offsetting structured products for onboarded contract structures and PPAs
further support/improve IT-infrastructure to monitor positions and according PNL-effects
build trustworthy relationships with internal stakeholders, especially Credit and Risk to prove competency and capability with structured transaction and
build on success to continuously improve valuation and stress testing of portfolios.
