JOB TITLE: Settlements Analyst - Gas, Power, FX & LNG

Analyst responsible for carrying out and owning settlement activities across a wide range of commodities including, but not exclusively gas, power, LNG, FX, financial derivatives and brokerage
Owning, understand & running daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc settlement cycles for the analysts designated commodities
Being the primary contact amongst the business for all issues related to their commodities.
Understanding of pricing calculations, pre-empting potential issues and working towards resolution as required
Process and understanding secondary costs associated with main trading activities.
Identifying and resolving third party disputes to ensure all payment and receipt dates are not compromised
To monitor incoming receipts, liaise with Treasury, Counterparts and relevant Desks should there be an issue. Ability to decide when to escalate issues and deal with accordingly.
Responsible for ensuring all payment deadlines are met as per SLA's with Treasury
Working knowledge of SAP with ability to manually book purchases and sales in SAP as required and being able to understand data held in the system.
Review new and existing contracts and service agreements for settlement purposes ensuring ETRM is able to support them
Support the counterparty set up process, static data requirements of the ETRM, segregation of duties implications and compliance issues
To proactively work to improve systems and processes to support the growing business. Knowledge of working with IT and protocols of raising changes required
Supply weekly cash forecasting for Treasury detailing purchases and sales in order to provision cash flow
Supporting month-end process
Developing strong relationships with all stakeholders.

Degree in Finance/Banking/Commercial/Maritime Studies or equivalent

Professional Background
Finance, Accounts or equivalent
Minimum 5 years relevant experience, with thorough understanding of the
settlement process and industry related compliance requirement

Settlement experience in LNG, power and Gas is necessary, ideally with LC Knowledge
Proficient in Microsoft Office and trading/accounting system (Endur and SAP experience definitely is a plus)
Excellent team working and networking skills
Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
