JOB TITLE: Strategic Business Manager
LOCATION: Midlands /North West
We have a new and rewarding opportunity with an established brand in the oil market looking to appoint an experienced Account Manager/Business Development Manager as Strategic Business Manager to join their UK sales team. You will play a vital part in managing two key customers supporting their requirements whilst also identifying and developing through these accounts new business growth opportunities. Your sales approach will be that of a Hunter and this will be complemented by your strong relationship building skills. You will have a background in the lubricants sector ideally automotive, off highway or related sectors and proven and tangible experience of managing large multi million pound accounts including negotiating with key decision makers.
This role would ideally suit someone based in the Midlands or North West but applications may be considered from other locations offering straightforward accessibility to the Midlands. Overseas travel primarily within Europe would also be required.
Reporting directly to the Global Sales Manager, this role will offer great autonomy to manage your own diary and allow you to implement your self starter mind-set.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Develop and grow key account revenue streams
Identify and lead new business development initiatives, both in the UK and Internationally, through collaboration with key account stakeholders
Consistently deliver the highest level of customer service across all business functions
Work with UK based colleagues in marketing, technical support, customer service, finance and the production plant to ensure the clients receive relevant and accurate information and data
Develop close relationships with research and product line managers
Implement forward planning, decision making and critical reasoning to drive results
Be the main point of contact for all customer communications, establishing yourself as a credible and trusted discussion partner
KEY SKILLS/ ATTRIBUTES
A proven track record in senior sales including large, multi million pound account management
Long term relationship building with key decision makers to secure long term relationships
Strong business development skills including range extension, business development initiatives and margin awareness, a Hunter approach
Able to prepare and deliver high level presentations
Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills at all levels
Experience in automotive related lubricants
Inquisitive and able to build on industry knowledge and identify market trends and act upon opportunities
Excellent administration and time management skills
