If you have several years’ experience working in supplier management / procurement within a petrochemicals, lubricants manufacturing business or related sector and are also someone with proven ability to negotiate and execute large contracts – this could be the perfect role for you.
You would report directly into the Supply Chain Director and be responsible for supply optimisation, contracts and audits of wet stocks for the group.
About the role
Identifying the need and formulating the specifications for wet stock including base oils, additives and other ingredients required to manufacture the finished lubricant product/s
Ongoing management of existing suppliers as well as evaluation and contract negotiations with new suppliers globally – Ensuring contract obligations and legislative measures are met
Overall stock management and P&L responsibility across the business in relation to wet stock – Management across European toll blending facilities
Build strategy and identify opportunities to expand internationally through partnerships with toll blending companies
Support new product development through the supply of raw ingredients - Work collaboratively with technical and commercial areas of the business to ensure products, alternatives and client solutions can be achieved
Take accountability for SSHE when participating in incident investigations, safety walks and when negotiating new supplier / blender relationships
You will hold a degree in Engineering, Economics or relevant Business Studies
You will have significant experience working in petroleum, petro-chemicals, lubricants manufacturing or related sector
You will have a strong working knowledge of base oil and/or additive markets and ideally have an established network of contacts
You will have a solid understanding of lubricants businesses and related suppliers
You’ll be someone who is highly experienced in negotiating procurement contracts and managing supplier relationships
You will be well organised, be able to prioritise a busy workload efficiently and be competent in your use of record management systems
This role can be based remotely in the UK or alternatively in Belgium*
Some European / Global travel applies to this role.
A highly competitive basic salary of between £85k and £95k is available to the right candidate along with other company benefits.
