We are looking for a Trade Control and Operational Risk Manager to join our client's London office.
Key Responsibility Areas:
Develop operational risk policies and standards for risk management for new business activities, including but not exclusive to New Product Approvals (NPA), Non Standard Deal Approvals (NSDA) and New Commercial Activity Integration (NCAI) across physical and financial oil.
Monitor operational risk indicators and perform ad hoc risk assessment.
Coordinate with senior management in performing operational risk reviews developing key risk and control indicators.
Track and monitor operating risk incidents investigating root causes of operational risks and provide support to mitigate risk.
Review operational risk reports presenting this and remediation actions to senior management on regular basis.
Support and coordinate deep dive where required of operational incidents that may have a regular occurrence or significant exposure to the business and provide to the governance structures with support of relevant functions risk mitigation proposals to prevent/minimise reoccurrence.
The ideal candidate:
Relevant senior experience within a Trade Control, Compliance Operational Risk and Market Risk environment in an oil trading company or Risk Consulting company
Advanced knowledge of risk metrics and internal control systems applicable for oil physical and financial transactions
Knowledge of control processes applicable in a trading / regulated environment
Advance knowledge of Oil markets (physical and financial)
Knowledge of Oil operations (i.e. pipeline nomination, vessel chartering, shipping)
Full command of English language (written and spoken). Knowledge of Italian would be beneficial
