Our client is looking to recruit a Transport Planner for their expanding fuel business. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, self motivated, proactive and self managed. You will also be commercially aware and extremely customer service focussed ensuring that customers requirements and demands. The ability to work on your own initiative is essential and you will be responsible for the daily confirmations of the depot and satellite depots and the management of stock control, utilisation and operational processes are met. You will be target driven, numerate, analytical and have a good understanding of IT processes.
The role reports into the General Manager and the Operations Director

Ensuring agreed customer service standards are maintained and improved and all employees are aware of agreements and expectations, efficient utilisation at all times
Analysing and driving sales through the business
Maintain and grow the customer base, ensuring speed of response to orders is maintained and increase company profile
Developing client relationships and new business, recommending improvement plans where required
Identifying, planning, agreeing & managing activity to ensure delivery of required results, whilst adhering to company policies, procedures & legislative requirements
Full understanding of balancing stock controls, ensuring losses are minimised and ordering is carried out in line with company procedures
Management of staff, including training and development
Ensure vehicle utilisation meets expectations and targets - daily, weekly, monthly
Managing drivers including hours, timesheets and daily work, including holiday/sick cover
Managing any incidents on site, including any Tacho queries, ensuring procedures are followed and communicated effectively.
Ensure Planning and managing in workforce, sick levels, holidays and incidents
Manage and control Driver hours, Tacho processing and investigations
