Great opportunity for an experienced Crude Oil Operator, with previous experience working in the West African market, to join the London crude trading desk of an international oil trading business.
Ensure all obligations arising from contracts are fulfilled in accordance with the company’s corporate governance.
Liaise with traders, shipping operators, middle and back offices and internal/external parties concerned to ensure smooth operations on a regular basis, including all post-deal activities such as cargo claims and finance operations processes
Prepare, review and follow-up necessary documents in cargo operation such as Document Instruction counter party as it’s the key for Operation and Documentation guidance in every shipment
Ensure all operational information is entered into trading system and keep necessary working records to meet the company’s data storage regulations
Assist the traders on market intelligence and data collection
Ensure all sales from storage tanks are accurately matched with trade strategy and current paper deal
Provide operational and administrative support as required and also closely coordinate with US and Singapore offices
Prepare monthly lifting report on trading cargo to submit to management
Take part in out of hours coverage arrangements
Ad-hoc duties as assigned
Skills and experience
Minimum Bachelor Degree in engineering, science, economics, logistics, business management or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in crude oil / petroleum product industry
Relevant knowledge and experience in trading houses will be an advantage
Proficient in Microsoft Office skills
