We are looking for an experienced and professional project manager with an engineering background in the chemicals sector.
Reporting to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for the planning, management and execution of diverse and complex projects. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity with an established company who can offer excellent long-term career prospects.

This role will primarily be office based in East Sussex but an element of remote / home working could be considered.
A competitive package is available to the successful candidate with a basic salary of between £40,000 and £45,000 depending on experience, with company car, healthcare, pension and an opportunity to earn a generous performance related bonus.
You will have:
an engineering background (electrical, mechanical or chemical) – ideally qualified to degree level
relevant project management experience in the chemicals sector – PRINCE2 or PMP Certificate would be preferred
knowledge of SAP
excellent written and verbal communication skills
an organised and methodical approach
kowledge of Construction, Design and Management (CDM) regulations
exerienece in influencing key stakeholders and deliver against critical timelines
an understanding of HSE procedures / regulations - a distinct advantage – ideally within a COMAH site environment.
You will be expected to:
develop the objectives and scope of projects, ensuring technical feasibility
produce detailed project plans with timelines, key milestones and tracking mechanisms
undertake the necessary risk assessments related to projects, calculating and minimising potential threats to delivery
co-ordinate internal and third party resources to ensure delivery of projects
establish and manage relationships with key stakeholders and project contributors
monitor and report progress, escalating any issues identified throughout the process
deliver projects on time, within scope and budget.
