This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious Business Development Manager to join a market leading company in a rapidly-growing industry. Our client is one of the UK's most experienced consultants and installers of renewable heating systems for residential and commercial use.
About the role:
Concentrating on Large Domestic, Commercial Ground Source and Air Source Heat Pump project sales with a view of developing new opportunities for the supply, design, installation and commissioning, and service/maintenance; you will
develop on the already successful sales pipeline, dealing and building working relationships whilst work collaboratively with clients, architects, contractors and engineers to identify, develop and convert sales opportunities
identify new target clients and create new business through proactive business development
take a consultative approach, be expected to visit clients and assist in the specification/design of the company’s products
This is a home-based role to provide consultative sales across the UK. However, you will need to be based in the South or Midlands with access to one of the companies sites based near Gatwick or Tewkesbury to establish strong working relationships with the wider team.
You will be someone who has:
a strong background in either Heat Pumps/Biomass/District heating
a proven track record of Commercial Heat Pump/HVAC Sales (end user)
knowledge of District Heating Schemes (relevant to UK regions)
an understanding of tendering practices and how to win/bid for tenders
relevant experience in the design, integration and installation of renewable products
knowledge of the construction supply chain
mechanical or electrical knowledge, to be able to assess client requirements and feasibility
good technical understanding of Ground Source, Air Source or Biomass technologies
excellent communication and presentation skills
a pro-active and tenacious approach to sales and business development, able to demonstrate delivery of challenging business objectives and personal targets
excellent account management and relationship skills
IT Skills: MS applications, to include PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook
a full UK driving licence
The company offer a competitive basic salary of around £40k to £55K depending on experience as well as use of a company vehicle, travel expenses, pension and necessary tools for job.
